Rhymes with Brunch: First Watch
First Watch has been a brunch staple of mine for years. Located in my neighborhood with a great selection and quick service, First Watch is an option that I utilize often. Known as The Daytime Cafe, it also serves both delicious and healthy items that we all love. Recently, I went to this favorite of mine for brunch with a friend, so I thought I would share my thoughts on their brunch fare in this review.
Because they focus on breakfast, lunch, and brunch only, they have an expansive menu that has something for everyone. Most locations are open from 7:00am to 2:30pm, and features a Fresh Juice Bar and a seasonal menu with fresh ingredients. Their first restaurant opened in 1983 and now they have tons of locations across the U.S.
Their brunch appeals to me most, and that is when I generally visit. During my most recent experience, I opted for a Cheese Omelette with both goat and feta cheese, alongside multigrain toast and seasoned potatoes.
The medley of both cheeses within the omelette was just what the doctor ordered, and the toast was buttered to perfection.
I’ve been to First Watch probably over 75 times over the years and they never disappoint. In terms of food, service, location, and price, First Watch scores high marks in every area.
You can easily feed a family of four there for under $50.00, which in these days and times, says a lot.
If you are looking for a dose of healthy alongside fresh food in an unpretentious atmosphere, check out First Watch if you haven’t already.
