Red White and Blue Fruit Filled Mason Jars with Yogurt
Celebrate with this festive treat that is tasty and healthy
Summer means celebrating, family, and fun. When you can tie all of those together with a dose of healthy foods, then you have a match made in heaven.
Festivities are in order and so are our Red White and Blue Fruit Filled Mason Jars. They are oh so easy to make and oh so good.
Using strawberries, blueberries, bananas, and yogurt, you have a snack or light dessert that is yummy and filling.
Here’s what you will need to make four fruit filled jars:
- 1 large pack of strawberries
- 2 small packs of blueberries
- 2 bananas
- 2 cartons of vanilla yogurt
- 4 mason jars, medium size
Cut up the strawberries and bananas and put them to the side. Then take your mason jar and add a layer of strawberries to the bottom. Next, take your blueberries and add a layer of them over the strawberries. Follow that with the cut up bananas and lay them on top of the strawberries. Then repeat the first two steps.
Once done, add a layer of vanilla yogurt. Afterwards, top with blueberries. Your Red White and Blue Fruit Filled Mason Jars are complete.
Add the top to the mason jars and store in the fridge until you are ready to eat them.
You can also add a bit of granola to the top of it for a little crunch.
This is such an easy recipe that your little ones can help you make them. Kids as young as three can help you assemble the jars, while learning patterns and colors. Just chop up the fruit and let them add it to the jars.
You can replace the strawberries with raspberries or any other red fruit in season.
Our Red White and Blue Fruit Filled Mason Jars make great gifts and can be an easy addition to any celebration. If you have to bring something to a picnic or pot luck, these are perfect!
