Are you planning a watch party for the Oscars? If so, we’ve got a treat for you. In celebration of the best in movies and film, we’ve created a wonderful recipe that is perfect for a party, or watching the Oscars with friends.

Macaroni and cheese is one of those dishes that almost everyone likes. With cheesy goodness and rich pasta, you can’t go wrong. Our spin on it gives a nod to a classic with oodles of cheese that makes it award winning and yummy.

This Macaroni and Cheese recipe is filled with flavor. Using a combination of Gruyere and extra sharp cheddar, it is nirvana in your mouth. It will garner you applause all around.

Because you will be busy watching the Oscar telecast while entertaining, or spending time with family, you need a go-to.

You can make it ahead of time and pop it in the oven to warm for Oscar night. Make it up to a week ahead and freeze it once cooled for optimum freshness.

It also tastes even better the day after. This may be one of the few times you will be grateful for leftovers.

If you are wanting to make this a full one-dish meal, it’s easy. Simply follow the instructions below. Add chicken or turkey to the casserole alongside veggies like tomatoes and/or broccoli. It becomes a filling dish you all can enjoy.

Please keep in mind that this is our spin on traditional homestyle macaroni. It’s a tad bit rich. Which is okay as long as you eat it in moderation. You can lessen the calories by opting to use less cheese.

You can get the full recipe and step-by-step instructions by scrolling below.

Will you be watching this year’s Oscars? Who are you rooting for? What film do you think will win best picture?

Gruyere and cheddar cheese sound like the perfect cheese to use for a tasty mac and cheese. I am considering adding some crumbled bacon to mine (cause mac and cheese can’t be too rich right?), or perhaps some chopped ham. I love the simplicity of this recipe!
