April Editor’s Note: Starting Over
It is never too late to start over.
This is more than just a general statement, but one that speaks volumes. Starting over may feel like a huge and daunting task; it doesn’t have to be. All you need to do is have a mission or goal, a plan, execution, and consistency. With those key ingredients, you’d be well on your way.
You may have started the year off with a list of resolutions and have slowly waned away from them. This is your reminder that just because you got knocked off the horse doesn’t mean you can’t finish the race. You can make the decision to begin today. The past no longer matters, it is what you do from here on out that counts.
I began the year with wanting to get in shape and eat better. I was off to a triumphant start, but teetered off sometime in February. I am writing this April Editor’s Note with pride because I made a decision recently to begin starting over. I have a renewed interest and vigor for creating a healthier me from the inside out, and I am committed now more than ever.
You can do that very same thing as well. I want to inspire you to go after your goals, even if you stumble over obstacles or roadblocks. Life is a series of tests that we either pass or fail. How you approach these tests as well as the results say a lot about the person you are.
You have the potential, you have the desire, and you even have the focus. It is now time to take them and make them work on your behalf all the way towards the finish line.
This month on Life Well Eaten, we will continue to share with you recipes that are good for the palate as well as for the soul. We’ve also got some great restaurant reviews coming up, and a few travel posts, too. April is the start of a new season, as Spring sets in for its tenure. There is no better time for starting over.
I want to also encourage you to follow us on our social networks including Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. On IG, you’ll be seeing more video footage on Instastories, as we will be taking you inside the kitchen–ours and a few chef’s, too!
Starting over may seem scary, but with the help of your friends, there’s nothing you can’t do.
Live a Life Well Eaten.
